A feller's friend don't care how he might look,
don't care if he can read or can write a book.
A feller's friend don't care if he's slim or he's fat,
if he dresses up or he wears an old sloppy hat.
A feller's friend don't care if he's young or he's old,
or if he keeps on repeating what he's already told.
A feller's friend don't care if he's poor or he's rich,
if he's a computer technologist or if he digs a ditch.
A feller's friend don't care if his fortune is small,
or if he owns a lot or if he owns nothing at all.
A feller's friend don't care if he drives a new truck,
and he's there to help when he's down on his luck.
A feller's friend don't like him because he is smart,
a feller's friend likes him for what's in his heart.
So, remember your friends and treat your friends well.
'Cause when you'll need a friend, you can't never tell.
