Dr. W. P. (Bill) Templeton

From his office in Lynn Garden
Doc Templeton plied his skills,
to everyone that came to him
with all their aches and ills.
From early until late evening
he was always on the run,
taking care of his patients
for forty years and then some.
I reckon most all his patients
he knew by their given name,
he worked at being our doctor
with passion of a mighty flame.
He saw patients that could pay
and saw some that could not,
but that made no difference
in the care that they got.
We dreaded that fateful day
when his practice would end,
for he was not only our doctor
he was our trusted friend.
