God was with the soldiers,
marching off to war.
God was with the seamen,
sailing off afar.
God was with the pilots,
soaring to the sky.
God was with the marines,
God was always neigh.
God was with the green berets,
God was in the schools.
God was here and there and everywhere,
before the courts changed the rules.
It's sad looking at this nation,
since stupidity began his reign.
Freedom of speech covers everything,
except the mention of God's name.
It makes a person wonder,
when they're put beneath the sod.
How much longer it will be,
before the preacher can't mention God.
