Sorry that I'm late Mom,
Old Paint lost a shoe along the way.
But I'm here now Mom,
To wish you a Happy Mother's Day.

I brought you some flowers,
The wild ones you use to like.
Remember when I'd bring 'em to you?
When I was just a little tike.

I reckon you already know Mom,
You gave our home that special touch.
And the upbringing you gave us,
Is what will always mean so much.

I reckon I best go now Mom,
They expect me home around seven.
But I know you're in good hands,
With our Savior up in Heaven.
