They walk across the meadow,
Just at a slower pace.
Taking in the beauty,
Only God could put in place.
Wildflowers are blooming,
The sun is shining bright.
Mockingbirds are singing,
The geese, they are in flight.
Rabbits munch on lush red clover,
Squirrels leap from tree to tree.
Groundhogs eat persimmons.
And, deer are running free.
Horses graze in the barnyard,
Dog's taking in the sun.
Cat's sleeping in the hayloft,
Pups are having fun.
This farm is filled with memories,
There's no place they'd rather be.
A place with nature's beauty,
That so many seldom see.
