Old Paint I'll really miss you,
when I go to feed tonight.
You were such a special horse,
and this is hard to write.
And I'm sure dreading,
seeing that empty stall.
Your name on the stall door,
your toys that's on the wall.
You always were a special horse,
and it was so hard to see you go.
But you're in a better place now,
where greener grass and clover grow.
We spent a lot of time together,
you were with me sixteen years.
Saying goodbye was so hard to do,
as I tried holding back the tears.
I have so many fond memories,
of the years that you were here.
I'm glad you spent your life with me,
You will always seem very near.
