It can be a valley,
a mountain or a hill.
I know I can make it,
I know that I will.
It's down in the valley,
lessons I've been taught.
It's up on the mountain.
the faith that I've sought.
It's down in the valley,
the things I should heed.
It's up on the mountain,
the blessings that I need.
It's down in the valley,
where I need to grow.
It's up on the mountain,
the hope that I know.
It's down in the valley,
many things I seek.
It's up on the mountain,
the gratitude I keep.
It's down in the valley,
the Lord walks by my side.
It's up on the mountain,
the Lord is my guide.
