Two 16 ounce cans of Pork and Beans or one large can.

Empty beans into a medium size kettle on top of the stove.

Add three tablespoons of syrup or molasses.

Add one tablespoon of mustard.

Add one medium sized chopped sweet onion.

Mix in all ingredients well.

Turn stove on to medium and let simmer for thirty or forty-five minutes and stir often. If the stove gets above the simmer turn down to low heat.  The reason for doing the beans on top of the stove, they don't dry out.
